Why would iDisplayStart setting be ignored

I've tried all kinds of ways including stripping all other settings and yet the numbering still starts from 1 and not 10 as I set the iDisplayStart to. What could be a reason for that? I believe our datatables library is about 4 mo. old since we've downloaded it.

I don't think it should be. Can you link to a test case showing the issue please. Also worth updating to the latest version if you haven't, but iDisplayStart should work okay!
