About the unit test framework
The unit test framework has been designed and created specifically for DataTables. You might ask why, then there are so many other Javascript unit test frameworks available - well there are a number of reasons.
- I wanted complete control with the unit test framework, as there are a number of cases which are unique to DataTables (for example multiple data sources).
- A number of the available unit test frameworks weren't flexible enough to very quickly add and remove tests, pages, conditions etc.
- To prove to myself that I could do it :-)
The unit test framework is open source under the same licenses as DataTables should you wish to use any of the code for anything else, but bare in mind it is currently very specific to DataTables. The source can be found in the DataTables download package under media/unit_testing.
