jeditable select type doesnt work with alot of records

This isn't really a DataTable question but i'm not sure where else i'd post this, so when i populate the dropdownlist with a large number of records, on click the text will disappear and nothing will show up and when i focus on something else the text never reappears. But when i populate it with 10-15 records it will display perfectly.

I'm not sure why this is happening. But any help would be appreciated!
