DataTables | Licensing

Licensing is an important part of software licensing, particularly when using open source libraries such as DataTables.

DataTables

DataTables 1.10 and newer is available under the terms MIT license. This places almost no restrictions on what you can do with DataTables, and you are free to use it in any way (including commercial projects), as long as the copyright header is left intact. Please see the MIT license page for the complete license.

DataTables 1.9 and earlier

DataTables 1.9 (and previous versions) were made available under both the GPL v2 license and the BSD (3-point) style license. These licenses still apply to those software releases, but newer versions use the MIT license (see above).
