You could use a WebSocket. Use the row.add(), row().data() and row().remove() methods of DataTables to add, update and remove rows as required by the information sent from the server-side. Allan

Interesting point, @Tonterias. It is covered in this post: https://datatables.net/forums/discussion/12899/post-test-cases-when-asking-for-help-please-read but of course it is very difficult to keep useful information in places where users can't fail to see it.
