searchPanes.container()

Returns the node of the panes container.
Please note - this property requires the SearchPanes extension for DataTables.

Description

This method provides the ability to return the node of the container that is storing all of the SearchPanes.

As it is a getter it does not take any arguments.

Please note that prior to SearchPanes v3 this method would return a jQuery instance. As of SearchPanes v3 it will always return a DataTable.Dom instance.

`searchPanes.container()`

Returns the node of the panes container.

Returns:

DataTable.Dom:
Dom instance that contains the container element for the searchPanes.

Example

Add a class to the searchPanes container::

var dt = new DataTable('#myTable', {
	layout: {
		top1: 'searchPanes'
	}
});

dt.searchPanes.container().addClass('sp_class');
