Bare in mind that the .load() request is asynchronous (Ajax). You need to perform the actions on the table, after the load has completed, not after the load has been requested.

I do have tbody and thead. I'm using jQuery's .load for the ajax.

sInfoEmpty is the information element at the bottom of the table - not the information inside the table.
