columns.searchPanes.hideCount

Since: SearchPanes 1.0.0

Deprecated. Hide the count column in the pane of a specific column.
Please note - this property requires the SearchPanes extension for DataTables.

Description

This option is deprecated from version 1.2.1+. It was replaced by columns.searchPanes.viewCount to maintain consistency with searchPanes.viewTotal. For now this option can still be used, but it will be removed in the future.

As standard, SearchPanes will be displayed with the count column included in the table. However if the value of columns.searchPanes.hideCount is set to true then the count column won't be displayed.

The count column can be hidden for all of the panes by making use of searchPanes.hideCount.

Type

boolean

Description:

By setting the columns.searchPanes.hideCount option to true the count column will be hidden in the pane for that specific column.

Default

  • Value: false

The default value for the columns.searchPanes.hideCount parameter is false, meaning that as standard the count column will be included in the pane.

Example

Hide count for the 5th columns pane:

new DataTable('#myTable', {
	layout: {
		top1: 'searchPanes'
	},
	columnDefs: [
		{
			searchPanes: {
				hideCount: true
			},
			targets: [4]
		}
	]
});
