FixedColumns and Child DataTables

I'm able to get both FixedColumns and child data tables working, but not at the same time. It seems when FixedColumns are used, then the child tables will not display because the table structure is so different. Has anyone ever got this to work? It would be nice if the child table was inserted into the non-fixed TD's of the row. I've been trying to figure out how to do that, but can't find a way.

Never mind... I found the compatibility matrix and shows its not supported....
