Specific columns
This example expands upon the previous one shows the columns option for colVis and demonstrates how you can select which
columns the end user should be able to toggle the visibility of. You can give this option a DataTables column-selector to have it select only the
columns you want to be controllable. In this case, if a column has a class of always-visible, it cannot be toggled (the Name column in
this example).
Furthermore, this example also shows how the initial visibility state of a column is reflected in the state of the buttons in colVis. In this case, the last column
(Salary) in the table is made to be hidden at start up through columns.visible. The button for that column is not active as a result, but can be toggled by the end user.

This table loads data by Ajax. The latest data that has been loaded is shown below. This data will update automatically as any additional data is loaded.
The script used to perform the server-side processing for this table is shown below. Please note that this is just an example script using PHP. Server-side processing scripts can be written in any language, using the protocol described in the DataTables documentation.
