Dropdowns
As mentioned in previous examples, with the array of options that ColumnControl gives you, it can be easy to overwhelm your UI with buttons and inputs. To address this ColumnControl makes it easy to define content in a dropdown.
A dropdown is defined simply as an array inside the columnControl content array. In this example, you can see that there are two top-level buttons - the order button and a dropdown button. The dropdown
button has extra ordering buttons in this case - other examples will make use of other content types (ColumnControl is all about giving you the ability to
configure the UI that is most suitable for your use case)!
A dropdown is actually a content type itself - dropdown. The array syntax is a shorthand to define a default dropdown with the content specified by the array. If you
wish to customise the dropdown icon, you might wish to use dropdown directly.

This table loads data by Ajax. The latest data that has been loaded is shown below. This data will update automatically as any additional data is loaded.
The script used to perform the server-side processing for this table is shown below. Please note that this is just an example script using PHP. Server-side processing scripts can be written in any language, using the protocol described in the DataTables documentation.
