Multicolumn sort serverside

Hi.

First let me say thanks for this great piece of software.

I played arround with the examples and did some test scripts on my local server.

If I try a front processing example

Here I can enter fire 1.9 in the search box and everything is fine.

Now I tried a serverside solution.

I entered the same fire 1.9 - nothing is shown. After pressing space after fire no data is shown.

Is there a way to do server side search over multiple database columns?

Since DataTables can't control the server-side technology, the best you can do is capture the search term (along with an array of searchable columns which should be sent automatically I believe) and then do with that information what you please. The results of this search are applied to the data set BEFORE it is returned to the client, naturally.
