Strip html before any sorting

Strip html before any sorting

I have an application that generates multiple tables all of
different number of columns and each column can have html
markup (usually links). I know I can set specific columns to
{sType: "html"}, but I don't know which columns those are at
the time of table generation.

Is there a way to change the default sort behavior to always
strip html before sorting?

    Hi smmcg,

There isn't a way to sent all columns to html type by default other than to alter the code slightly, at this time. Interestingly enough Doug proposes here ( http://datatables.net/forums/comments.php?DiscussionID=1486&page=1#Item_7 ) the idea of being able to do exactly that in 1.7. I hope to be able to get a beta release of this out something reasonably soon.
