Can I use class instead of ID

where table id="table_id" can I use class so I can use multiple tables.

Please tell me alternative way if there is any.
I am stuck and I need an answer as soon as possible.

Column 2
etc

Row 1 Data 1 Row 1 Data 2 etc Row 2 Data 1 Row 2 Data 2 etc
