Fixed columns with rowspan not rendered correctly in IE8 compat view

Hi ,
I am using datatable plugin with fixed columns. I am freezing the first column in the grid. The table header for the fixed column is not rendered correctly in IE 8 compat view. The rowspan seems to be ignored here. This is not rendered properly in the example provided in Fixed columns with rowspan example provided in your site also. http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/FixedColumns/rowspan.html

compat view as in quirks mode or IE7 mode? Quirks mode is not supported by DataTables, but IE7 mode should be.
