Dynamic Horizontal Scroll Settings

Hi -- first things first: this is an incredible project, and I just wanted to thank the creator for putting in what must be an enormous amount of time for all our benefit. Awesome, awesome work.
I have a project build which basically allows users to create custom reports, which means that the type of content in each column, and even the number of overall columns is entirely dynamic. As a result, I'm having some trouble picking a proper Horiz. scroll option to work with all report possibilities -- for instance, a report with sScrollXInner set to 200% works for larger reports, but when there are only 2 columns its a bit goofy, since no matter how few columns they are stretched to take up that same 200% space. You have to scroll to the right to even see the header value for the first column.
My question then -- is there any way to make scrollX dynamic, so that if a dataset fits well in the 100% frame, it doesn't apply the scroll area at all?
Thanks in advance for any help.
