Username & Password To View/Use Datatable

Is it possible to require a username & password in order to use the datatable?

Any examples of sites that do this?

Just as you would to password protect any HTML page. htaccess in Apache is the easiest, but any form of authentication will work - how it is done falls outside the scope of DataTables which is just a table enhancer.
