Hello everyone is there a way to connect the actual default features of the plugin with my own inputs, dropdowns, paginations ... I dont want them to be in top of the table (nor anywhere near or next to the table, as with sDom). I would like to place these elements on a navigation bar for example. Thanks in advance.

No - currently there is no way to use the internal logic of DataTables for anything other than an HTML table. You would need to hack the DataTables core to separate the logic. There is a long term plan for me to do that, but it is, as I say, long term.
