How to get & set current page index / page number

I need to store the pagestate setting in cookie like page number & current sorted column so I have following question How can I get the page# / page index while clicking on prev / next button ?? and How can I set the pageno at the time of initialization of the datatable by based on cookie value ??

OK I have used "bStateSave" and set it to true. it is saving the status datatable according to the pagenames & created a cookie for that . but is there any way to create the cookie according to the different logged in User ??
