can't get dom-checkbox filtering to work

My example seems very similar to the example on datatables.net, with the exception that the data is being loaded via ajax and the checkbox column is rendered using sDefaultContent. I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

    Very odd. I'm not sure why this isn't working I'm afraid. I'll need to look into it in more detail when I get to the office.
