Recover filters after postback

Hi, i'm using the jquery datatables with column filter plug-in. In my scenario, users can generate an excel of the shown datas but, after postback the filter values are lost. So i'm implementing a javascript function to re-set the values but i can't use the .fnFilter() function because user can't see the filter values.. How can i do?
