Can customer property be used in Data Table?

Can a customer property be added in the Table definition?
For example, can I add a property of "myProperty" into aoColumns definition like the following?
"aoColumns": [ .......,
"myProperty" : "This Column is operational."
],

I think you mean "custom" rather than "customer".
