TableTools buttons not showing

I have been trying to get the TableTools export buttons to shown on my tables but nothing I do seems to make any difference.

One interesting thing to note is that with the exception of sPaginationType none of the parameters seem to make any difference.

Running out of ideas now so any help and guidance would be appreciated.

You are using an old version of DataTables (1.9.4) which doesn't support the dom option. Use the sDom option in legacy versions or update to 1.10.
