custom filtering after changing cell data

i am having an issue understanding how to correctly set and filter data using "createdCell" and afnFiltering

i have an example here: http://live.datatables.net/segayano/1/edit

if you click the 'test' button and look at the console output, i am expecting the log to read the changed values of the column (even/odd/even/odd), not the 'initial' value contained within the original dataset.

can someone please explain where i am going wrong?
