Responsive and Colvis with IE8

Responsive and Colvis with IE8

polidavpolidav Posts: 2Questions: 1Answers: 0

Hi,
I tried to have DataTables with Responsive and Colvis extensions.
With all modern browsers seems everything ok, but with IE8 I have some problem: the repsonsive part is quite well, while I can't hide the columns.
Here http://live.datatables.net/maxiquqe/9/edit there is en example.
How can i solve this conflict?

Just a few conversations threads down from your own post you would find: https://datatables.net/forums/discussion/24744/how-can-i-use-the-responsive-and-the-colvis-extensions-together#latest .

Yes, I read the threads and I’m aware of the problem exposed in that thread. It's not a problem for me if "responsive makes the all columns appear again" when I resize the windows, but my problem is that Colvis doesn’t respond correctly only with IE8, when I try to hide some columns. I think this problem is slightly different from the other, but I understand that they can have the same answer ;-)
    Thanks for reply Alan.

Fundamentally ColVis and Responsive do not operate together, as I noted in the other thread. They are both trying to control the same thing (column visibility) which leads to a conflict and thus unpredictable behaviour.
