Filtering will not work if option set used in datatable

Please see ..https://datatables.net/examples/plug-ins/dom_sort.html.In this example if you filter for dropdown list value it want work.
As I already worked on this like below.
Create new Hidden Column which will have dropdown list's selected Text , and sort with hidden column where as make sortable false for dropdown column.
Correct if i'm doing something wrong...
