Binding to standard rest api

I'm just reviewing your library and am wondering if there are any examples where the server just responds with static data from the controller?

I want to integrate your datatable + bubble popup with an existing API.

This example might be of some interest. And the documentation for ajax in general.

Editor does define its own client / server communication which needs to be supported in some way, or the data available transformed into that format.
