Multiple Filtering - Move input boxes to top?

Hi

I'm currently using the individual column filtering code here:
http://datatables.net/examples/api/multi_filter.html

Currently this inserts the input boxes into the tfoot at the bottom. I would like to add this to the top - perhaps in the tags, just under the column headings, which I've tried but this seems to break datatables. Is there any other way I could move the input boxes to the top?

There's an example of how to get the filtering columns in the headings here:

I've had good results with this too!
