Dynamic Columns Add/Remove

I have seen a few topics throughout the forum on this topic. I use .NET and MS SQL to deliver content to the browser. The user can can customize their column order and show/hide. I see you need to define your table headers in advanced. What is the best Solution to accomplish this in DataTables?
