External filter and individual column filter

Hi,

i'm using datatables with server side processing. In the table there are individual column filtering and i want to install a external filter to search data that is returning by the server side but not showed in the table. Any demo-link to help me? If i make a first search with the external filter, is possible make a second search with the individual filter?
