Export selected value of combo box only

Hello
I'm using datatable 1.9.4 with the buttons extension to export data in pdf and csv. Everything works fine, except for columns that have drop downs. I am have a few columns with combo boxes and when I the export CSV or pdf, all the combo boxes values are displayed instead of displaying the selected value. What do I need to change to export only the combo boxes selected values?
