export xlsx on Mac

protomeprotome Posts: 25Questions: 11Answers: 1

Hello,
I just installed datatables with the buttons to export my table to Excell format. I am on Mac, El Capitan and Chrome (all updates last version). All export buttons work perfectly (copy, pdf, csv) but the excel. The file come out as xlsx.zip. When I change the extension to xlsx (and becomes xlsx.xslx) Excel opens it without problem. Same happens with excelHtml5 button. The extension is .zip
Am I doing something wrong ?
and another question ? is it possible to change the name of the exported file ?
Thanks

Should be fixed if you use the nightly version. Interestingly I've not hear of that happening in Chrome, only in Firefox.

Regarding the file name, see the excelHtml5 reference documentation which details the option for that.

Yes thank you. the nightly version works.
and in the doc, I had not realised that title was the filename. reading more carefully I found answers to even other questions that were popping up ;)

Yeah - the title for the filename was a daft decision on my part. It will be corrected in 2.0.1 (title will still work, but the sane method will be documented).
