How to refresh datatable column data

hi,
i use datatable plugin.. in that i have refesh button on clicking that am updating some column values.. its working fine.. but once i update those column value using java script search and sort is not working for that particulr column and also the updated value is not reflecting in print and pdf files.. as i have huge records i cant reload the entire page please tell how to resolve this issue
