Dynamically handle the datatable intialaization

hi Allan,

i have one query, can we handle the dataTable definition dynamically?
like,i have a table which is being rendered dynamically,some time it can be have 7 columns,some time 8 or 6.
currently i m handling it by some java variables,can we do it by dataTable?
please i m sorry,if i asked a silly question?

any suggestion will always be appreciated.
