save selected rows when navigating between pages, ordering etc

Hi, First of all I want to thank you for this amazing plugin!
after that has been said, I've seen in the Select Extension example that it is possible to navigate between pages, ordering,etc and the selection is saved. however in my case every time I do one of this things the my selection is gone. I'm using server side processing. did I miss something ? how can I achieve this?
