Update column names within colvis list

The retired version of ColVis had a rebuild function available. Does Buttons have a similar function? I would like to be able to dynamically update both the headers of my DataTable as well as the header/column list with the colvis dropdown. I haven't been able to figure anything out looking through the Options or API.
