Hide the "Plus" sign when no child data exists?

I've created my own child rows show extra/detail information DataTable. However, the user has requested if there isn't any child information to display, can we not have the "Plus" sign there?

Datatables uses columns.classname in order to add the details-control class which toggles the more info icon. You could use createdrow instead to decide if a row should have the class.
