Editor: Client / server data - Any examples?

I would like to use Editor against a WCF service rather than going directly to a Database.
I think the this describes what I need: https://editor.datatables.net/manual/server

Are there any examples for doing it this way against a static array or xml data source?

No sorry - there are no examples showing exactly what you are looking for. Most of my examples show Editor using the database directly.

From your answer it seems that although there are no examples, it is actually possible. So I will dig a little further into Editor, Database, Query etc.
