I am using the "datetime" type for a field in the Editor.
All seems to work well except that:
as soon as I select a date in the calendar portion of the widget the widget closes without allowing me to select a time
if I select a time first (bad human factors as it is at the bottom of the widget) then I can move up to the calendar and select a date.
It would seem that I should be able to select both date and time and when the cursor moves outside the widget it should close or there should be OK/Cancel buttons in the widget.
Am I missing something?

You aren't missing anything - that's a missing feature. Thanks for letting me know about it. Its certainly poor UX reflecting upon it. I'll look into it and decide how best to handle this.

Embarrassing delay for this one to be fixed - sorry!
1.6.4 will address this. The calendar will no longer auto close when a date is selected, if both a date and time are shown. If only the date is to be selected it will still auto close.
