I'd like to have it so that you can have a 'no-sort' option for a column on the third mouse click. Thereby restoring the sorting of the table back to before you clicked any column header. So it would be
1 click - asc
2 click - desc
3 click - none
To misquote Futurama 'Once you sort it you can't unsort it!'
Is there any code modification, plug-in or mod to have something like this? I think it would be something other people might like.

Your Futurama misquote is accurate here - once the column is sorted then there is no way to unsort it. It would probably be possible through a plug-in to restore the original order that the data was read into DataTables as from the DOM (this ordering is in aoData), but as it stands there is no plug-in which does this. Fancy having a bash? :-)
