Editable Datatables with SQL and JAVA

I have a Java EE application. I would ideally like to show contents of a SQL table using datatables, however the content in some columns should be editable. I should be able to add/remove/edit the rows.

Can you guide me to some examples how this can be achieved.

I haven't used it myself yet, but another community member wrote Java server-side libraries for Editor.
