Add some text in the header

Hello,
I wonder how to add some text and links betwen the headers : "Show 10 entries" and "Search:.."
Using the "zero configuration", there a space between both and I would like to add some text.
Do I need to edit the JS file by myself ? Is there any documentation for this ?
