Server Side Processing + Dynamic Show/Hide columns

Has anyone been able to get this to work? I have server side processing working and I can dynamically show/hide columns separately. But, as soon as I try to combine the two, the show/hide columns stops working.

Hiding columns with colvis button works with server side in this test case I built:

How are you hiding the columns?

Maybe you can update the test case to show your issue.

Thanks for your response! Your example is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm a little confused because the Extensions page of the DataTables site says that the ColVis extension is "retired". See here: https://datatables.net/extensions/index

Should I use the Buttons extension instead? Or, should I just go ahead and use ColVis?

My example is based off this example using the Buttons extension column visibility button.
