Select record in cell when click on it

Thx for this great product. I have a small issue with an inline edit of a cell and datatables. When i click on a cell in the table, i need to select the record similar to "onfocus="this.select();", in order not having to highlight it with a mouse before editing a single record. Is it possible? (I am saving up for you Editor version, to get it early next yr)
