Problemas con Datatables al contar los registros.

Estimados.

Soy nuevo en esto y estoy implementando Datatables. Todo anda bien pero cuando mi tabla contiene mas de 1000 registros se me origina el siguiente error: Mostrando registros del 1 al 5 de un total de 1undefined706 registros.
No se cual sera el problema si me puedieran ayudar lo agradeceria.
