Getting Markdown in editable field

Hi, when I go to edit a column, I see html (for markdown) in that field's text. This is bad for users - they shouldn't be seeing that. To make things worse, when the user saves their text, that html now gets saved along with their text.

How can I turn off Markdown for an editable text field column? Thank you.

Is this using Editor? Markdown isn't a default so it must be being set somewhere. Could you post your code or link to your page, please.
