Pagination and Shoe Entries Dropdown sometimes render incorrectly

When a page in my app containing a datatable is refreshed, sometimes the pagination controls are not formatted correctly and the show entries dropdown appears at the top of the datatable. I have attached screenshots of correct and incorrect display. The incorrect display happens a lot, but not always. It appears to be some kind of a timing issue in the code.
