When will the material design be available for use in production?

It's not high on our priority list. This page here showed it, with a statement that it was to gauge the level of interest - this has been low I'm afraid.

Is there any way for us to express our interest in using Material Design with DataTables besides commenting in the forum?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your comment - we’d welcome pull requests that update the Material Design integration for DataTables (JS, CSS). All of the extensions would also need to have integration for Material available for them for it to be considered to be properly supported.
