Inline editing on child rows?

I got managed to have a table with child rows, like it is described in the example here.
I also got managed to have inline editing in my main table, like it is described in the example here.

What i try to achieve now is, to have inline editing or checkboxes in the child rows. I struggle with this, since the first example uses for the sub table just normal html, while the inline editing is done via the datatables api.

Is it possible to achieve this or can someone point me in the right direction how to use DTE API for the sub table?
