Sorting Order

Hi All,
I have a table of data which is not being sorted as I expect.
it's sorting by the first digit, not the value... i.e. as if the number were a string... even though var_dump shows it as an int.

So I get

101
109
121
39
89

for example.

Is there a simple way to change this?

seems that it didn't strip out my <span> tags within the table cells... sorted now.
